Day 1 – ARRIVE SRINAGAR – LOCAL SIGHTSEEING
On arrival at Srinagar Airport, you will be met by our representative/driver at the airport and transfer you to Hotel Half day tour of world famous Mughal Gardens i.e. Nishat Garden, Shalimar Garden and CheshmaShahi.
Overnight stay at Srinagar.
Located on the bank of the Dal Lake, with the Zaberwan Mountains as its backdrop, NishatBagh is a garden of bliss that commands a magnificent view of the lake beneath the snow cappedPirPanjal mountain range that stands far away to the west of the valley. The Bagh was designed and built in 1633 by Asif Khan, elder brother of NurJehan.
The Shalimar Bagh is the celebrated royal garden of Kashmir. The Emperor Jahangir was so fascinated with the garden that he called it “one of the sights of Kashmir.”
Shalimar Bagh is located on the northeast side of Lake Dal, approximately fifteen kilometers away from the center of Srinagar. It was laid out by Jahangir as Farah Baksh (“the delightful”) in 1619, while he was founding the city of Srinagar
CheshmaShahi ( the royal spring), also called CheshmaShahi, is one of the Mughal gardens built around a spring by Ali Mardan, a governor of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, in 1632. The garden is located in the Zaberwan Range, near Rajbhawan (Governor‘s house) overlooking Dal Lake in Srinagar, Kashmir.
Srinagar Founded by the King Pravarasena Second over 2000 years before, Srinagar is summer capital of the Indian administered state of Jammu and Kashmir. Srinagar is Heart of the Kashmir, still preserves the imprints of the Mughal and British. Valley takes enormous pride in its lakes, gardens and the delightful rows of houseboats floating on them. Srinagar Popular for traditional Kashmiri handicraft, Kashmiri clothes and dry fruits, Srinagar is surrounded by five districts. To its northern side is Kargil, in the south is Pulwama and in the north-west lies Budgam.
Day 2 – SRINAGAR – GULMARG – SRINAGAR 108 KMS.
Gulmarg (2730 Mtrs Above sea Level) (“Meadow of Flowers”) is a town, a hill station, a popular skiing destination during winters. Gulmarg is famous because of its “Gulmarg Gondola,” one of the highest cable car in the world (Direct Payment Basis). In the evening return back to Srinagar. Overnight at Hotel.
Gulmarg height 2690 mtr from Sea label. Gulmarg offer lush and green with slopes where the calm is broken only by the ring of cowbells, Gulmarg of Kashmir used to known by the name of Gaurimarg, by the shepherds pasturing their herds, the present name of this hill resort dates back to the 16th century. Sultan Yusuf Shah, impressed with the stunning spectacle of the grassy hills adorned with colorful flowers, gave the name of Gulmarg to this beautiful hill station. Gulmarg hill station also serve as the favorite rendezvous of the Mughal Emperor Jehangir. It is said that the emperor once collected 21 different varieties of flowers from here.
Day 3 – SRINAGAR – SONMARG – SRINAGAR 168 KMS.
Sonmarg (2800Mtrs above sea level), which means ‘ meadow of gold ‘ has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh meanders along here and abounds with trout and mahseer, snow trout can be caught in the main river. The visitors can have access to snow which is furnished all over like a white carpet. Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier a major attraction during the summer months. In the evening return back to Srinagar. Overnight at Hotel.
Sonmarg Situated at an altitude of 2730 mtr. it is synonymous with silence meadows and flower carpeted fields surrounded by amazing glaciers, small plateaus, snowfields, pines and islets. Sonmarg has some of the top mountain ranges of the world. These snow clad peaks when reflect the golden rays of the sun, give a dazzling effect to the whole valley. This is the reason why the hill station is named Sonmarg or Sonamarg. The word Sonamarg exactly means the Meadow of Gold.
Day 4 – SRINAGAR – YUSMARG – SRINAGAR
After breakfast we will drive to Yusmarg. The distance of 47 kms will be covered in about 2 hours. The drive to yusmarg is an enjoyment in itself. Grassy pastures stretching to acres of land, the dense forests full of pine trees, with the backdrop of splendid snow capped mountains leave you almost speechless. Later drive back to Srinagar. Overnight in Srinagar.
Day 5 – SRINAGAR TO PAHALGAM (93 KM) 03/04 HRS. DRIVE APPROX
This morning after breakfast drives to Pahalgam 2440 Meters (Vale of Kashmir) on arrival check into your hotel. On the way visit Saffron field and Avantipur ruins, which is eleven hundred years old temple? Finally by the lunchtime you will reach Pahalgam, which is the most famous palace for Indian Film Industry. After lunch enjoy the nature charm of the valley.
Note: In Pahalgam outside vehicle are not allowed for sightseeing. Only local taxi can roam around within Pahalgam city. All outside vehicle will pick up & drop from Hotel.
Betaab Valley is a very famous tourist spot situated at a distance of 15 kilometers from Pahalgam. The valley got its name from the Sunny Deol-Amrita Singh hit debut film Betaab. The Valley is towards northeast of Pahalgam and falls between Pahalgam and Chandanwari and is en route Amarnath Temple Yatra. The valley surrounded by lush green meadows, snow clad mountains and covered with dense vegetation.
Aru is located around 12 from Pahalgam, 11 km upstream from the Lidder River. Noted for its scenic meadows, lakes and mountains, it is a base camp for trekking to the Kolhoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. The village lies of the left bank of the Aru River, which is a tributary of the Lidder River.
Chandanwari is situated 16-km from Pahalgam, Chandanwari is the starting point of the AmarnathYatra, which takes place every year in the month of Sawan (Rain). It is famous for snow sledging on a snow bridge.
Day 6 – PAHALGAM – SRINAGAR
Today after breakfast, Check out from Pahalgam Hotel and Proceed for Srinagar. On Arrival at Srinagar, Check in to your Houseboat. Enjoy Shikara Ride on Dal lake. Visit Char Chinar, and Floating Market.
Overnight at the Deluxe House Boat.
Day 7 – DEPART SRINAGAR
After buffet breakfast you will be transferred to Srinagar airport to board your flight for respective hub. Due to the extremely strict security measures at the airport during peak season, guests are requested to leave for the airport at least 4 hours prior to departure. We are forced to enforce this rule as there are 4 security barriers to pass before reaching the airport. Also, there are regular traffic jams for a couple of kilometers outside the airport.
